Rita Akiki is a Lebanese Registered Nurse with more than twenty years of experience in the field of clinical nursing, hospital management, nurses’ education, and training. She holds
a Master’s Degree in Health Engineering & Management from Lille 2 University- France and a Master’s Degree in Health Management from La Sagesse University- Lebanon. She also earned a Diploma in Business Management from Notre Dame University- Louaize (NDU-DCE). She is certified in Storytelling for Change, Boosting Leadership to Activate Communities, Advanced Training in Community Activation, and Adaptive Leadership Train the Trainer. She is certified in “Leadership for Change” from the International Council of Nurses. She is the winner of the Nursing Now Challenge Global Solution Initiative 2021 that aims to
support the early nurse’s career in their leadership development journey and respond to the
emerging health needs. She is an advocator for children immunization especially HPV vaccination among teen age girls. Also, she is advocating for COVID-19 vaccination among health care professionals and the population at high risk. She is continuously boosting the nurse’s image; her recent publication discussed the Perception of High School Students in Lebanon toward the Nursing Profession: A Pilot Study in the Region of Keserwan figures in the International Francophone Journal of Nursing Research. As a clinical educator, she oversees the nurses’ continuing education program at Aboujaoude Hospital. Her success is due to her highly engaging training style where she enjoys sharing knowledge and making sure her audience benefits from her previous experiences. As nursing director at Aboujaoude Hospital, she is passionate in empowering nurses. She is leading a Heart Failure Education Clinic that provides a multidisciplinary approach for heart failure patients and their families. She also launched many initiatives to improve nurses’ morale and job satisfaction especially during the Lebanese Crisis and the COVID – 19 pandemic.
